SRC vs ???? card comparison.

I got the SRC card and I am trying to compare it to other cards. Here is my comparison to the WT511G.

Now, my question here is why with a 5dbi antenna I have less power reading than with the internal antenna. What are your readings? If they are similar at least I know Im not that messed up.

What are you using for "power reading"? From my experience, I've noted that Linux drivers are not accurate in how they represent received signal for a number of cards / chipsets.

I recommend taking your readings with the Windows client card utilities that come with the respective cards and see if things don't make a bit more sense.

Pay attention to two factors :
antenna producents show antenna powers too optimistic , they usually add +1db.
You have loss due to long cables 50 inch -> 1-2 db , and 0,5-1db loss on MC screws and N screws.
Use that 12 inch pigtail no longer , check the connections and use better antennas, so far the results won't be any better that Netgear.
