my setup is a powercolor hd 5970, i7 980x, GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD9 motorboard, 24GB RAM. now running Ubuntu 64bit to make better use of RAM and CPU cores.

nice pc . well i think to get 140 PMKs/s on hd5970 i need beter cpu then q6600.. but 110PMKs/s (crunch | pyrit | cowpatty) is not bad on this old cpu. +30 PMKs/s upgarade would cost to much... again tnx for your post azboy!

local electronics store had a hd 5970 on sale for 550$. couldn't pass it up so now i have 2x5970

On the multi GPU issues has anyone tried setting the ATI SDK env vars to tackle this problem ? I'm not somewhere where I can test this for the next few days but if someone could try exporting this and seeing how it goes that would be great.
