when i try to update my metasploit, it was getting an error message

Find the pluggins/nessus.rb file and rename it to nessus.rb.bak (backup file just in case) and then perform the update again.

The correct way is to update with msfconsole closed.

# cd /pentest/exploits/framework3/; svn update; msfconsole
