pavilion dv7 64bit booting issues

wont boot Bt4 from dvd gives some reg error then says suspected bios break or something in that area can someone please give advice. is the a 64 bit verson for down load.

I cannot boot bt4 from dvd on my laptop it is a 64bit system with a intel core 2 quad cpu q9000 gives me some reg error plus it tells me broken bios suppected. can anyone help with this. also i cannot connect to internet wireless it shows wireless networks but when i put in key it just dont connect.

Exact error messages and a description of any problems you are having would be helpful. Id suggest that once you obtain them you also search Google and the forum for them before posting back.

Third with so little detail in your post we won't really be able to help.

I have hp pavilion dv6 if I remember correctly, it have blueray drive. and I couldnt boot if from BT4 dvd. then I used unetbootin and then booting from usb live dvd Iv managed to use bt4.

ps. I guess that you might have Ati video card in your laptop. if "startx" gives you errors and you cant see your desktop u need to type "fixvesa"

try to use some other live cd's to know if you really have some issues with your hardware.

Problem solved thanks folks. the prob was my ati video card. typed in fixvesa then startx. problem solved.
