network adapter help

hey guys,
im extremley new to all this stuff. i am trying to get my usb network adapter card up and running, it is a belkin f7d2101. i tried the airmon -ng and it is not recognized. i also tried networking start and that didnt work either. all i have gotten to work is my ethernet.

I believe that card has the RTL8192SU chipset. You can try and follow this tutorial I found on google:

I can't seem to access my usb to use the belkin

so i finished with the howto, but I still can't turn on/access the adaptor, is there a way after the install of the drivers to turn it on?

and how do i know if it installed correctly?
