Broadcom BCM43225 [14e4:4357] not working

I could only get managed mode networking working. (I could connect to the internet via wifi)
Anything else didn't work (monitor mode, injection etc...)

I would be glad if there is a solution for this, but I probably will have to get a USB wireless dongle to use backtrack with this laptop. (I'm not sure which model to get either -.-)

hello, i have the same wlan card in my notebook (Acer TravelMate 5740G).
i just booted backtrack 4 R1 from an USB thumbdrive and i couldn't get it to work also.
Connecting regularly worked but no monitor mode or injection. If there is an update for it i'd appreciate some info. thank you.

I was wondering if anyone has tried this Fully open Linux driver? I found this release on "http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.wireless.general/55418" and wasn't sure what to think about it yet. But i will have to try it to see. Just thought i would pass it on to see if it helps.

Linux driver for it's latest generation of 11n chipsets. The driver,
while still a work in progress, is released as full source and uses the
native mac80211 stack. It supports multiple current chips (BCM4313,
BCM43224, BCM43225) as well as providing a framework for supporting
additional chips in the future, including mac80211-aware embedded chips.
The README and TODO files included with the sources provide more
details about the current feature set, known issues, and plans for
improving the driver.
