Airodump-ng Wrong Channel In Mon0 (channel -1)

I have installed card on chipset ath9k_htc on Backtrack 4R1, but I have problem with channel in mon0 there is all the time is -1. I try type in console : airmon-ng mon0 11, iwconfig mon0 channel 11, iwconfig channel11 mon0 - 11 it's channel, but it gives nothing.

ifconfig mon0 up promisc
iwconfig mon0 mode monitor
airodump-ng -c 11 -w dump mon0


Not working ;(

how I type in console "ifconfig wlan1 up promisc" wlan1 is up in promisc, how I type "iwconfig wlan1 mode monitor" error ;(

It's working. I type first
1. iwconfig wlan1 mode monitor
2. ifconfig wlan1 up promisc

Wrrrrrrrrrrr how i type in conole airodump-ng -c 11 -w dump mon0 channel is fixed wlan1 channel -1 ;/

I now what's wrong how I type ifconfig wlan1 up promisc my card is still off ;( when i type in console airmon-ng working fine but monitor mode is on channel -1.
How I can move up my wifi card help!

I have the TL422G also! cant seem to get it to work in backtrack 4 final within virtualbox environment... only works in ubuntu 10.04 LTS ;/

I am however getting the same problem with mon0 being on channel -1...

do you know how to work arround it? I am relatively new to linux, so please be gentle

P.S. I am Lithuanian we share a country border

after 2 weeks spending on searching,googling,foruming, and everything finally i register myself in this forum after using backtrack about 4 months... and i also found u at the other forum giving the solution for this device ..but have u tried it on backtrack?

for ur info im using Backtrack 4 R2 and my NIC card : TL-WN722N

for ur info, i already follow your guide but failed..
backtrack didn't recognise this card
when i type airmon-ng it will show this

wlan1 Unknown usb - [phy3]

if anybody know how to solve this problem..
PLEASE HELP...

and please dun giv a link if from this forum too cuz i already read it 100 times
4 your info too.. i dun know how many times i install compat-wireless and recover it back again..
