Hey guys,
recently I installed SlackWare into my active & running system with Windows 7 and BT4R1.
It also installed LILO (because I wanted it to ;D) and recognized Windows. OK,
I copied the boot entry from SlackWare, changed the root partition to the backtrack one and tried it...
It starts perfect, but it doesn't seem to accept any user inputs, I can't even type in my login name...
So I changed the read-only in lilo.conf to read-write and ran lilo -v again, no change.
Did I did anything wrong? If yes, please tell me how to fix it =P
Here's the important part of my lilo.conf from SlackWare:
Code:
# Windows bootable partition config begins
other = /dev/sda1
label = Windows7
table = /dev/sda
# Windows bootable partition config ends
# Linux bootable partition config begins
image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/sda7
label = SlackWare
read-only
image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/sda9
label = BackTrack4R1
read-only
# Linux bootable partition config ends
Greetings ;D
Come on, can't be that hard, eh?
Just tell me if you need more information.
Or does anyone know a way to install GRUB over LILO without installing any other OS on my PC?
(from BT4 ~ Debian - would be easy, but I can't access it ;D)
Greetings ;D
