Something weird going on with my pcmcia card!
Ok so after trying multiple notebook wireless cards with no luck i went to Office depot and decided to try one more card.So i picked up the D-Link WNA-1330 Wireless-G Pcmcia adapter and when i got home i plugged it in my laptop with a BT 2 hard drive install.
The card did not work and when i typed lspci the card was there but when i typed iwconfig it dont show.
lspci shows the card as a Atheros chipset and from what i understand it should wotk, but its not working.
Then i wiped out my Backtrack 1 cd and booted my laptop with it and to my suprise the card works and when i tiped iwconfig the card showed up as ath0.
So im wondering as to why this card works withan older version of BT cause i realy wanted to use BT 2 and if anyone has any suggestion im open to anything.
By the way the card works perfectly, now im able to inject and do all the things with no problem
Cheers!
