    Default How to confirm a network in 1 name but lots of bssid???

    hi all, can you please help me regarding about WEP? i try at my home i found a network but when i airodump it. it's show same bssid but at last 2 number was a different... how i want to confirm which one is a correct source? how come it show many bssid in 1 name? that y i'm confuse.. can anyone help me about this. thanks..

    You can name your wireless device any way you want, this is often used to trick people into connecting to your access point instead of the real one they want to connect to.
    Check the MAC address on your access point (somewhere in the device info most of the times) to be sure you're attacking the right one.

    grab your ap and flip it over you should have a number starting with the letters MAC: just match that to the ones in airodump.. what you should do is log into your ap and change the essid that is broadcasted, theres probably 3 guys with the name linksys there.... but sometimes there is safety in obscurity if you don't want to change it.
