I tried nmap in the normal startup console, nmap in Konsole with KDE-Desktop and zenmap as GUI. None worked for me, I always got this error:
I'm not sure if this is a general issue with back | track or if it's just me.Code:route_dst: Failed to obtain system routes: Premature EOF in /proc/net/route
But the SHA1 sum of my .iso was correct, so I don't think it's a corrupted image

No joke...LOL. Start your network and stop making me laugh while at work. Granted I wouldn't have been able to diagnose that solely from that error message, but it seems like the first thing I'd check before using Nmap. Thanks Archangel for the diagnoses.
Good luck to you sir.
P.S.
Archangel, what is the deal with your avatar. I do not recognize it from anything. I've wondered this for well over a year. Figured there was no better time to ask than now.
Perfect time to stop making fun of the OP or telling him to turn on his network. He got one reply which is sufficient for answering his questions.
Next time these +1 posters will receive infractions.
And Archangel's Avatar is Rudolph Moshammer with his dog Daisy.
