Intel 82577lm is not detected

I use BT4-final + Lenovo t410. My Lan NIC Intel 82577lm is not detected by BT. I found hints to use the e1000e-1.1.2 driver. I tryed to setup it but it don't work.

make install error:

Symbol version dump /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.30.9/Module.symvers
is missing

Is there a webpage were I can search the files included in the deb packages?

I have a dell6410 with a similar issue. From the command pompt please try to "mod probe e1000e". Then run dmesg. I'd like to see what log output you get from loading the module. In my case I get what looks like a successful load. I just don't get a dev interface created.

I cannot get my Intel gigabit network card to work either.
I am running Back Track 4 on a Lenovo T510
There is no result/match when I run
"modprobe e1000e"
My Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82577LM Gigabit NIC
Did either of you get this card working under BT4

I also can not get the ethernet card up on my HP Elitebook 8740w

I tried the modprobe e1000e, no luck

How do I tell what version of the e1000e i have and how do I update to the newest version?

lspci | grep Ethernet
