Similar to Cain&Abel in BackTrack

Hello all ,

I would like to know of there's a program in BackTrack that does the work that Cain&Abel does on windows ... specially issuing my own SSL certificate so that i can do a MITM attack ...

Have you tried SSLstrip? I don't know if it lets you issue your own SSL certificate, but it's a matter of reading the tool documentation to find out.

As for the other features of cain&abel, I believe there are tools in backtrack that can do the same job, but various tools, not just one like cain&abel. But I might be wrong, as I never tried every single tool in BT.

Using backtrack, you can combine the use of ettercap with ssl*

isn't ettercap the old version of wireshark ?

No that would be Ethereal, now known as Wireshark.
Now would be a good time to use either the included documentation for the tools or their respective websites.
