the New iPhone 4 allows USB tethering for the 3g connection, on the mac side of things, it is simple plug and play... and bam u have internet...

BUT....

does anyone know how to get it to work with backtrack 4????

Yes, but it's not exactly the easiest process to get it working at first; however, once you do it works automatically by just plugging in the USB cable... just like your mac.
