Default BT4 R1 - Battery Info + Wicd Tray icon

I just finished installing BT4 R1 on a Acer travelmate 290 and I noticed that the Kpowersave icon shows wrong battery info. It worked fine in BT4 Final.
Also, the wicd tray icon won't appear automatically like it used to in the previous release. I used the "update-rc.d wicd defaults" command and rebooted. I have to run wicd-client if I want to see that icon. Has anyone else having this issues?

    Same issues with bt4 R1
after doing that "update-rc.d wicd defaults"

the wicd tray icon dont appears i have to made a script to autostart it..try to do this.
open a terminal and paste this
    Code:
    cd /root/.kde3/Autostart
    then create it
    Code:
    kate wicd.sh
    and paste this
    Code:
    #!/bin/bash
    wicd-client
save it and change the file permissions
    Code:
    chmod +x wicd.sh
login out or restart and wicd tray icon must be appear..

ps: maybe its not the better way..but work fine..

The wicd portion is not a bug.
Right click on the panel and select add application to panel, and then add wicd under "Internet".

EDIT: As for Kpowersave the latest and installed version is listed as unstable. There are several similar bugs associated with it.
That could be the cause. My google results list

That's not the icon I was looking for, but you're right. It's not a bug. Just thought it was weird since it would appear automatically on the previous version of BT.

Also since kpowersave was the kde 3.5X default, and KDE is a 4.X it won't get fixed. KDE uses a different application.

As for the other interfaces to wicd
There is a gtk and a curses based interface located in the menu under services > network
Those can be added to the panel as well.
