Boot Hangs @ pcmcia_socket

For some reason it will not boot and gets hung up when it says:

Do you have a PCMCIA Card attached ?

If not, pass the

NOPCMCIA

option to grub.

Boot machine, at the GRUB message press <ESC>. Then select the first line or the one you usualy start, press <e>.

Go to the line starting with

kernel

press <e> again.
It looks like

kernel bla blub beef-ca-ce-08154711 ro quiet vga=0x317

Insert a

nopcmcia

, maybe in front of

quiet

.

Press <ESC> again to leave edit mode then press <b> for boot.

If that works, you need to edit your grub.menu file and add the command at the line to have it saved.
