Could you post some relevant details about your setup?
I mean really.
No sound
I got it to work at one point after I uninstalled Alsa and reinstalled it.. but now it's back to no sound. I checked the volume. I can't get anything. I followed some ubuntu guides.. nothing.. Please help.

soundcard - Creative Labs Audigy LS
video card - nvidia 8400 gs 512mb
cpu - intel quad core
mobo - evga 780i
ram - 4048gb corsair 1033
HDD's - 1tb(windows D, 160gb (BT4)
