Just to let you know, there are no good navigation applications for linux.
(short story, you don't have to read first; I have a microsoft gps receiver but software is destroyed, so I read that I can make it work in Linux if I use backtrack to view the usb port it's plugged into for starters.... so I got BT and put image on dvd and loaded it into my other computer the laptop, and ....)
So BT is loading up after a reboot, and it has all these options I don't understand so I just pick the 1st one 1024x768 something .
So BT is loaded, screen shows the # and I eventually figure out to type "login" since there is no real login screen like I thought there would be.
So I think, "Great!" I can login now with root and toor...but after entering 'root' it wont let me type toor until I hit return a second time... but after I type toor now, it says "wrong login" or whatever it was... now what? I can't even login!
BTW I've never used linux command line I'm an idiot so please treat me as such. thnx.

Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
