    Default internet explorer on backtrack

    Hello everyone,

I have been searching to install internet explorer 6 on backtrack.
I want to understand the aurora exploit. The problem is that I am a beginner to
package extracting and i am completely confused. I cant for example install java on my
    backtrack system.

How can I download ie6 on backtrack? (without using a virtual machine)
Were can I find a good tutorial about linux extracting and downloading files?

Let's be honest here, you have no idea what you are doing with linux to begin with, let alone trying to run some exploit.
Here's a much better and useful idea for you. Click the third link in my signature below and start reading through the topics in it.

But if you really want to install it (and you won't get further help here on it) then read some of these links from google.

There's no reason I can think of on why you would want to install Internet Explorer 6 on any Linux distro, let alone BackTrack. Maybe for web development but even then most websites don't even support IE6 anymore.

To test the exploit, follow this tutorial. I just found this by typing 'Aurora Exploit Metasploit' into google. <hint>check google first</hint>

errorman I strongly suggest that you go to a more friendly linux like ubuntu or something.
You want to understand the aurora exploit but you can't understand how to install something in Backtrack ...
And why do you need IE6 on Backtrack !? do you want to exploit yourself ?
