I have the exact same issue and I also couldn't find any errors in the log.
Upgraded the kernel, BT4 is on a hard drive install fully updated.
After I login and startx I am now greeted with a "Could not connect to wicd's D-Bus interface. Check the wicd log for error messages."
Odd thing is the log doesn't have any failures that I see. And it auto-connects my wired interface.
I have the exact same issue and I also couldn't find any errors in the log.
Same here, if any1 knows what this is. Please help.
Ok the solution goes like this:
First of all log in as root, than execute the following commands:
If you have an unprivileged user in BT after doing so as root you have to add the user to the "netdev" group.Code:dpkg-reconfigure wicd update-rc.d wicd defaults
If not just add it to /etc/groupsCode:usermod --groups netdev <user>
Reboot!

I did as stated above and now my laptop is angry. :P
It has a BCM 4306 wireless card in it. And BT had drivers for it already installed that supported injection.
After running the commands to fix wicd, when it boots I now get an error before login.
b43-phy0 ERROR: Firmware file "b43-open/ucode5.fw" not found
try this
Code:aptitude install firmware-b43
