Default Closing lid on laptop shuts down kde

Is there some way I can stop kde from shutting down everytime I close the lid on my laptop? It drops me out to the linux console every time and I have to run startx to get back in again. (BT2 Final Live CD)

    Thanks

It must be a setting somewhere because using a hard disk install of BT1 on the same laptop, kde stays up when I close the laptop lid.
No one else seeing this problem?

Check your laptop settings in the bios. In my lattitude you can control that from XP and the bios.
    Good luck...

OK I'll check it - doesn't make any sence though that if it is a BIOS setting why doesn't the same thing happen with my BT1 Harddisk install (as it is on the same laptop that I boot the BT 2 final live cd from )
