Usually I do everything in command line however I like to look at updates in a GUI. So I have a persistent BT4 Final installed on my hdd. All is working great, however, when I go to any of the updates in Synaptic Package Manager, it tells me that it has to remove the following:

backtrack-desktop
backtrack-discovery
backtrack-world
python-scapy
scapy
scapy-menu

And then it says "backtrack-kde-splash" will be upgraded. If I let it uninstall those packages is that going to break my install? I don't know if they are part of the core system or not. I guess my question would be, is it okay to let it remove those? and would it effect start up at all with using startx to get GUI OS?
