Default logging in to backtrack live usb ubuntu

When I boot from my USB I get a page that says "default" at the top and at the bottom it has a count down saying it will boot automatically in 10 seconds. It just keeps repeating this count down and never boots. There is no place to enter the default username and password.

Where are instructions on how to get started using this thing?

    Thanks Larry
