wicd does not read dd-wrt's SSID properly

I am using BackTrack 4 and I have a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND router that re-flashed to dd-wrt.

wicd cannot read the dd-wrt's SSID properly and the wireless cannot be connected. wicd read the SSID as 2 or 3 boxes with some numeric characters inside. Strange.

I also tested Ubuntu 9.10 with wicd 1.6.x. The problem is still there. I think it is the problem of wicd as Ubuntu 9.10 Gnome network manager can read dd-wrt's SSID correctly.

I cannot post any bug report to wicd as the forum of wicd is closed. The IRC was tried but nobody there.

Any idea to fix this problem? Thanks.

The problem is a bug in dd-wrt with wireless N this is not working with the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND.

I had the same problem while the router wireless mode is set to N or mixed it is not working.
When you set the wireless mode to G only it is working fine without any problems.
