Default editing airoway.sh for bt 4

i have aquired a script for testing wifi known as airoway.sh... its usually found on the wifiway cd
im sure lots of us have heard of it..

its similar to airoscript in many ways..

ive been trying to edit it to run on bt 4 but ive hit 1 major problem and if solved i think it will run tikkety boo

ive edited everything i can see that is out of place and it runs but then stops..

    it tells me..........................

    root@bt:~# '/root/airoway.sh'
    Launching Airoway/root/airoway.sh: line 405: /sys/class/net/mon0/device/channels: Permission denied
    .....
    root@bt:~#

anyone know how i can give it permission ????

file is set to be executable and can read/write..

i know its something simple im missing but i just cant get it

wow. i don't think i've EVER gotten anything to run tikkety boo. I feel cheated.

aside from that, my first guess is that the directory /sys/class/net/mon0/device/channels doesn't even exist. In fact, my second guess would be that the directory /sys/class/net/mon0/ doesn't exist.

of course, I have been wrong upon occasion, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. i suspect you need to modify the script so that it looks at interfaces that you actually have. eth0, wlan0..etc etc etc

the folder does exist.. ive checked it...

it shows up as soon as i use the code # airmon-ng start wlan0

card is in monitor mode and all paths are as far as i can see correct...

in the original script it was listed as /device/channel

and i had to edit it to /device/channels

left unmodified it would tell me there was no such file or folder

once i modified it... it then told me access was denied...

The folder doesn't exist on my end. Even after running airmon-ng.

Ok, I managed to solve this issue. Just switch the hole line:
    Code:
    echo $channel /sys/class/net/$INJECT/device/channels
    with:
    Code:
    iwconfig $INJECT channel $channel
It solved the issue at my end.

There's still another issue, the script used the /device/channel directory to read the channel value. I'm now thinking on a workaround, I'll post it here once I get it. If someone knows a way to do this, please share.
