hi guys,
i have just installed backtrack 4 onto my asus eeepc 900 but i can not seem to get wireless to work
normaly you would have to press the FN and F2 button for the wireless to be enabled but when i do this in backtrack nothing happens
backtrack does not see the wirless device and the wireless light on the laptop is not on.
does anyone know how i can enable the wirless card?
the wirless card has an atheros chipset if that helps

Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69

Probably one of two things ;
1. Do you have to switch on your wireless with Fn + F2 every time you boot up your eepc ?
If so, your BIOS is probably not set to automatically have it turned on on boot. Change that.
2. If your BIOS is set to automatically turn on the wireless on boot, but you switch off your wireless with
Fn + F2 before turning off the eeepc, you will not be able to start wireless in the same way as in the
normal OS.
Make sure the wireless is on before rebooting into BT.
