I'd say Fprot, but still don't rely on a virus scanner alone. The best virus scanner is worth nothing if the user is not careful on what he does. Especially on Linux if ppl use the root user.
I tried to download and run ClamTK in a live-Cd with Ubuntu 10.10. That worked great until it came to about 7% in the process. The Window goes gray and does not responds. Is this due to some heavy loads, or is it a memory issue?
Does BackTrack have some kind of virus scan tool that scans all drives via the terminal without much user interactivity? And does anyone know of any short guide on this issue?
Does anyone have any opinion of what is the best of these scanners: ClamAV, AVG, F-Prot or BitDefender

It is on Windows Vista, and it's not my computer, friend of a friend, so have no idea if her security habits.
clamscan in terminal seems to work just fine.
BTW, if a thread does not make it through the moderators, do you get a notice about it (and hopefully the written post)? Believe they have to be pretty strict here cause of all the cracking potential of many of these subjects![]()
