hey guys I'm a newbie of backtrack, anyone can help me to counter who connecting into my router? i have my desktop, but i don't have any wlan card, all i have is a router.

My advise to you would be to follow these 3 steps:
1) Set your router to use WPA encryption
2) Use a password containing alphas, numerics and symbols (mixing both lower and uppercase) (do NOT make the password resemble an actual word!
3) MAC address filtering would only deter the hacker who does not know what he is doing... But could be worth a try.
I haven't explained how to do any of this....as I am sure it can all be found with 10 minutes on Google!
But of course - if you do not use the wireless on the router (You said you were using a wired connection?) then you could always just turn the wireless off on the router?

Is this a wireless router and are the intruders connecting through a wireless connection to your router?
If you don't have a wireless card and no one else on your network uses the wireless connection you should just disable the wireless feature on your router.

Besides changing the password as purehate said, also disable the wi-fi router, since you do not use really!

or perhaps he means that his home network has a standard router at the perimeter and no wifi card. That would make this an intrusion of a different color. Of course, to know that you have someone inside the wire, you'd probably already know how to get them back out again...Originally Posted by cyberbox

Technically it's illegal to hack a computer that's not your own, even if they are intruding on your network. Though the odds of them calling you on it are pretty slim.
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
