Hi peeps,
Well i had some troubles installing BT4 R1 after i installed Win7 Ultimate x64, had to try 4 times before i was successful, maby becaus one of my HDD's was connected to a normal SATA controller and my BOOT SAS Disc is connected to a SAS-RAID controller. BUT i got it finally. so here is a little TUT for those who have some troubles with the other guides in here, try this
Physically disconnect all disc's, except the one your installing to. This includes USB disc's, except if your running BT4 R1 from Live USB.
1. Install Win7 to you HDD using all the space. Make sure that you can login after install
2. Create a BT4 R1 Live USB or some thing similar.
3. Boot BT4 R1, choose BT4 R1 Persistent Live USB (default didn't work for me, i got black screen and everything froze)
5. At startup terminal type "startx" (without the quotes) to get KDE UI
6. When your at the desktop, open terminal, write "ubiquity" (without the quotes) and press enter.
7. Follow the on screen instructions UNTIL you get to the part where you have to set up partitions.
8. !!!READ CAREFULLY FROM NOW ON!!!: Choose "Manual" and press forward.
9. Now you will see 2 partitions one around 100 MB and another that should ben around the size of you HDD
10. Right click on the highest capacity partition and resize it. I did make mine around 45 GB smaller.
11. Now you will have something called "Free Space" right click on it at choose "New partition
Here is the Setup i chose:
Swap
Code:
Type for the new partition: Logical
New partition size in megabytes (1000000 bytes): Use 2000
Location for the new partition: Beginning
Use as: swap area
Mount point: ***EMPTY***
Press OK
Ext3
Code:
Type for the new partition: Logical
New partition size in megabytes (1000000 bytes): Use rest of the space
Location for the new partition: Beginning
Use as: Ext3 journaling file system
Mount point: /
Press OK
12. Press forward and accept the summary. when finished restart the computer.
13. On BOOT you should see the GRUB Manager, and you will be able to load both windows 7 and BT4 R1 (Called Ubuntu)

Pleas give some feedback on what you think of the guide, and does it work for you?
