Installing BT4 from root directory and boot disk

Hi there,

I'm new to using Backtrack4 and have a fairly simple query. I would like to install bt4 to an old laptop that does not have a CD-Drive.

What do I need to do to install BT4, is it a case of taking out the HDD and placing the required files in the root directory and then running them from a boot floppy disk?

What does your laptop have? If it has a USB port, you could try the info from this post:

You'll have to install BT to the USB from another computer. Trust me, it really is that easy to create a Live USB from the distro.
