    Thumbs up

    --SUGESTIONS--
    ===========

    ipw2200 driver:

    Make it silent on boot up. In versions .1 and 1 the ipw2200 starts up in auto-associate mode, sends essid packets out and associates with any ap it can find. To fix from the ipw2200 read me shows this example.

    Example = modprobe ipw2200 associate=0
    Default is 1 (auto-associate)

    I am not sure but I think that if this would be placed in rc.modules this might do the trick. rc.wireless seems to be for post kernel module load configurations of devices and not really the place to put it. Any one with a hard drive install might be able to check this out and see. :

    /etc/rc.d/rc.modules

    #ipw2200 silent boot = 0 : 1= auto-associate
    modprobe ipw2200 associate=0

    Kismet:

    It would be nice to have gpsmap part of kismet on backtrack out of the box.

    FireFox:
    turn off auto updates features in its config, dont need to be downloading updates every time its booted off of a cd.

    Just my 2 cents.
    Thanks a lot for a fantastic package.

    Also I would like to add to Larry's recommendation, automatic/kernel-based embedded driver support for monitor mode for ipw3945 based laptops for kismet/other, as we have to go through hoops to get such feature working.

    Ragecyr, has put together a nice tutorial on how to accomplish this. I am including the thread link for reference purposes.

    Whether this request goes down with ver2, you guys have done a great job in helping out the linux community. Also, I'm willing to serve as betatester of ver2.

    Thanks,
    Ci

    make sure the sd / mmc has great support, so its easily mountable, partitionable, and readable/writeable.

    Also if possible a guide or auto mount script for ipaqs. I seen in /var/log/messages how it recognizes ipaqs (h6315 precisely) as its mounted and does stuff, but I havn't seen what it is in /dev and how to mount or whatnot.

    and my ipaq has linux on it (ported)

    Ok, First of all I would like to thank all the contrubutors to the Back|Track project. I would be lost without it. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!

    I would like to contribute these...

    and

    Critics and comments are welcome. These were made quite a while ago, but I decided to post them heree for all to use. I use 3d CG for the Dragon wall paper plus some manual painting by hand. If any one is intrested, I could send them the 3D object of the Dragon.

    Last, I would like to ask for a driver for a RT2570, RaLink, USB driver.

    Thanks all!!

    update to KDE 3.5.5 and kernel 2.6.18 (not 2.6.18-rc5)*

    hm maybe wait for the final 2.6.19 kernel then use it on the final 2.0 version*
