I don't think that Dragon Logo can be improved, it's so suttle yet so artistic.
Hi all,
As you might have seen in the Dev Log, Max and I have started working on v.2.0.
Basically, the look and feel will be the same, with several major additions.
We are planning a beta release at the end of Nov (maybe sooner?).
Base:
* New kernel - 2.6.18-rc5
* Updated tools
* New tools (defcon / blackhat / packetstorm)
* Dual Core Support (with fallback to Single CPU)
* No more UnionFS ! Yay! We now use aufs with zlib compression.
New features:
Max and I have added several new features, such as :
* Network Booting Cracking Cluster ability
* Network booting instant Backtrack class ability
* Amazing secret stuf Max is working on which i won't disclose yet
* Awsome new framework Max is working on which i won't disclose yet
Muhaha
WHAT WE NEED:
This is your opportunity to give BACK to Backtrack - we need:
* Skilled graphix people do do nice logos/wallpapers
* Skilled web designers
* Suggestions for features / tools you would like to see added.
HOW TO DO IT:
* Please do not post things like "Add support for rtv 3560 drivers!". We are not superhuman. Give us a link, and if possible a brief howto, and we will see what can be done. the more organised you make your request, the more chances are that we will include it in.
* Graphics Competition !
* Generally speaking, we are not interested in changing the Backtrack logo. We do however want a "NG" (next generation) feel. Any variation on the Dragon Wallpaper, or the BackTrack wallpaper is welcomed.
* If you feel you can / want to help out - please make a post in this thread - and we will get back to you by PM asap.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN:
* Immense satisfaction!
* If your work is chosen, you will be announced as the winner of the graphics competition - and your work will be displayed on thousands of desktops worldwide!
You can get the dragon wallpaper here:

other stuff:-
privoxy
several firefox extensions I deem as essential (tab mix plus, ad block plus and filterset, customise google, answers, advanced dork, user agent switcher, fox lingo and google browser sync)
I'd still like cheops-ng back but I never cracked installing it myself has some very old deps I couldnt solve and other tools do its stuff but I do like it
I dont think any of this should be tough except cheops and I cant see that being included) but I am happy to provide what insite I can on installing these.
Is this intended to be a cd or dvd? might I suggest possibly both options?

Windows 95 :-
"32-bit extensions and a graphical shell for a 16-bit patch to an 8-bit operating system originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor, written by a 2-bit company that can't stand 1-bit of competition".
Hi there, not sure what I can do to help, but I guess I can assist in making modules for some of the apps or contributing the few modules I already made.
...ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will...five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain and a hundred percent reason to remember the name...
SWEET!
I really don't have any of the skills (at this time!) you are looking for other than perhaps suggestions, But I will be more than happy to BETA test v2.0!
Look forward to the next release, AND thanks goes out to all of the developers for the hard work PLUS making Back Track available to us. And the same goes for having a forum to discuss and learn these great tools.
WOW, is it November yet![]()
that metal dragon is teh pwn
a suggestion? hmm...
whatabout a live version and a HD version? The live of course would be like 680mb, and the HD (high def or hard drive, u choose) would be more like 1gb. It would have all the stuff you'd LIKE to put, but because of size restrictions, couldn't and/or didn't.

Okay, I've made a wallpaper... I'ts not very good, but you could atleast take a look at it. I think mizaC's examples are better though...
