Problems with RTL8187

Hi all Backtrackers ,

I am facing a problem to which someone might have solution and may help me :-

1. I am using RTL8187 based USB dongle for testing WEP cracking on BT4 final.

2. I have tested with aireplay and injection works.

3. Now when I try to associate with the AP , I get associated successfully.

4. Also now when I try injection using ARP attack again using aireplay the packet count increases so does the packet loss count for the client. But there is hardly any increase of packets for the AP.

5. Do i need to update my drivers ? I wireless signal strength is very good and injection works with command "aireplay-ng --test -a "AP BSSID" -h "MAC" mon0.

There are plenty of threads in regards to your card. There is also extensive documentation on the aircrack-ng site , all of which I doubt you have read otherwise this question would not be here.
Do use the search function that you agreed to. We do not like to spoon-feed.

But what I used to think that forums are place where people with more knowledge on a subject can help people with limited knowledge to solve their problems effectively and without going through the pain of searching internet extensively.

If you think of searching the Internet extensively as being painful, then I think you picked the wrong hobby to pursue, the wrong forum to post to and the wrong Operating System to use. Searching is a requirement here - it's in our forum rules.
