Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card ( monitor mode )

hey..hi
i'm certified MCSE and CCNA so it not difficult to me
but it's my first time 2 try to hack WEP key for wireless networks
i have DELL STUDIO 1535
that had ( Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card )
a friend of mine give me DVD that has back l track
i run it and enter Linux
by typing startx
then i run the { airmon-ng } command
i receive nothing
i can't even turn on my wireless card
i tried it in another lab HP and the same result was

then i download Network Stumbler
it's show [ no wireless adapter found ] altough the card is working good in windows 7

now plz some one tell me what the problem is ?

I have a dell studio 1735 with wireless card 1397 broadcom. I just install the lates version of backtrack and is working find with a b43 driver which is already install with the lates backtrack releas. I had my first wep crack. Success! thank you backtrack.

A good tutorial I recommend is aircrack-ng.org website. It tells you how to down load and install the b43 driver. Hope this helps.
