The drivers are the same we simply packaged it in a binary format. If you do use the source driver though you will have to compile every single package from source since all of the GPU based tools in the repo have nvidia-drivers as a depends.
I was wondering about what is the diffrence between the "nvidia-driver" package and any other driver from nvidia? I was going to do some cuda enabled pyrit and I saw the cuda pdf for Backtrack 4. I just dont know what is the diffrence between this and a driver I can download from the nvidia website. Can any one explain?
