I could find the opposite way, installing bt4 on the top of windows, but I installed BT4 first

if not, how do I format bt4 for my hdd

Actually it sounds like a "I don't want to try so I will just ask" question me.
I would say just try it. At least if it doesn't work then you will know.
As for formatting your HDD there are plenty of tools/guides on the interwebs to show you how to do this.
