Swap really isn't needed on a system that is capable of using 4Gb of ram. Now if you only had 512Mb or less, then yea you'd need it.
Hey guys,
I recently bought a new PC and want to install BT4 on Harddrive now. (Prevously I used USB or VM)
But... I've just got 1 1TB HDD, 1 partition used for bootloader, 1 for windows, 1 for datas and 1 free. (4 primary partitions max, like everywhere) Can I skip swap partition? I've got 4GB of RAM, I don't think so much is used, but it's better to ask BEFORE, than asking later how to remove the unstable system.
Also: Can I use ext4 format from GParted for BT4? Or does it just support ext3?
Greetings anyway,
Blue

Thank you...
Now I can finally install BT4 (hopefully) without any problems ;D
