I have been searching for about 20 min and still havent found what I am looking for so.....
I want a program that can generate a password list. I would prefer a GUI, but I can attempt command line. It can be windows or Linux. If you think John or Crunch will work for me, could you list some commands to use them?

Try searching the forums, there are lots of threads on this topic.
Yes both john and crunch will do what you need, just do some research/reading.
I'm a compulsive post editor, you might wanna wait until my post has been online for 5-10 mins before quoting it as it will likely change.
I know I seem harsh in some of my replies. SORRY! But if you're doing something illegal or posting something that seems to be obvious BS I'm going to call you on it.
