Most of the newer Macs use Broadcum based cards, which have limited to no support in linux. USB wifi is the best way to go.
I just recently picked up a '13 MBP and am fighting trying to get a dual boot setup running. One thing I did find though is an article here:
xX_Spiidey_Xx's BT4 Tuts: Installing Back|Track 4 Final On Mac Computers
In there it says that they have not found a way to get wireless working on a mbp. I booted strictly into the live disk and messed around with it for a while but did not find anything. Has anyone successfully gotten wireless working in BT4 final on a mbp? If so is it working well or does it still lacking?

Thanks Barry! I'll probably head out later and pick up a new usb wifi setup.
