apt-get update fails

I run this command from the konsole: apt-get update
and receive this as a response:

could not connect to archive.offensive-security.com:80 (94.23.3.208), connection timed out

What may be the issue?

Try starting your networking services first.
If this is not the case then try again because it works ok for me.

Works fine for me. I get failures when behind some form of web content filtering (WebSense, etc)
