I'm getting into computer forensics under the wing of someone who is Encase certified. They offer a Passport program where you can take all of their classes for a flat fee. However, the closest center for offline classes is about 4 hours away.
Searching around, I found SMART Linux, made by ASR Data:
From my tiny bit of research on them, it seems they were involved in the original development of Encase, at least its compression algorithm. The thing is, ASR's training courses are much closer to my home.
Have any of you "in the biz" had experience with this company? Or does anyone know more of the back story behind these two companies?
