Well try getting the .deb package from the VirtualBox official site, that should work :P
Hello all i installed the virtual box 2.0.4 and when i run virtual machine a error shows saying that
i tried to execute the /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup but it failed no kernal foundCode:Failed to open a session for the virtual machine b0x Virtual machine 'b0x' has terminated unexpectedly during startup. Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Component: Machine Interface: IMachine {1e509de4-d96c-4f44-8b94-860194f710ac} VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED (rc=-1908) The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or there is a permission problem with /dev/vboxdrv. Re-setup the kernel module by executing '/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup' as root. Users of Ubuntu or Fedora should install the DKMS package at first. This package keeps track of Linux kernel changes and recompiles the vboxdrv kernel module if necessary
knowing that i have the back|track 4 R1 with latest kernal 2.6.43.is there some thing that i missed or any thing would fix it >

Well the error message tells you exactly what to do, and I have seen this problem many times, and a few times I have forgotten what appears to be the same thing you have forgotten to do.
Follow the above quote and then run the /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup and it should work just fine. If it does not after doing this then post back all error messages you got.Users of Ubuntu or Fedora should install the DKMS package at first.

Sounds like your kernel source is missing/not appropriately linked. Read the following.
