Dell DW1520 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card (Broadcom 943xx) is not working, nothing at all shows when running airmon-ng.

    Hello,

My Minitar MWGHUA no longer works (works flawlessly in BT3, didn't test BT4)

    Here is what I have:
    Code:
    root@bt:~# airmon-ng
    Interface Chipset Driver
    wlan0 ZyDAS 1211 zd1211rw - [phy0]

    root@bt:~# airmon-ng start wlan0
    Interface Chipset Driver
    wlan0 ZyDAS 1211 zd1211rw - [phy0]SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory
                                    (monitor mode enabled on mon0)

    root@bt:~# airodump-ng mon0
ioctl(SIOCSIFFLAGS) failed: No such file or directory

    root@bt:~#
Tell me which logs you need, I'll be pleased to come back with them. I can also test BT4 if needed.

dell xps m1330 with intel graphics; works great out of the box.
    wifi= intel 3945ABG: injection=yes
    monitor mode=yes
    internet with WEP and WPA1/2=yes

    bluetooth=BCM2046B1: working=yes

    ADDITIONAL USB WIFI DONGLES:
    nintendo usb wifi(rt25xx) injection=yes
    monitor mode=yes
    internet with WEP=yes
WPA1/2=no(times out at obtaining IP and resets)

    Dlink DWL-G122 REV D1 working=no

this is the Marvell chipset Dlink adapter, only revision D1 is marvell so A1-C1 should work

Tested on Dell Studio 1555 with Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g [14e4:4315] (rev 01)

    See follow-up for a workaround.

Results: Works only after soft reboot from Windows (7 x64)

Here is the debug data: http://route.us.to/storage/dell_stud...rev_01).tar.gz

My guess is that there is a problem with the firmware which comes with the BT distro (too old version for the card???)...

After a soft reboot monitor mode and injection work like a charm but throw this error "hpet1: lost 1 rtc interrupts"

    3) eGalaxTouchDriver won't work anymore. I'm not sure who to blame for this just yet, but it worked perfectly with the 2.6.30.9 kernel without having to build anything after running setup. However, now Xorg.0.log shows: (EE) No HID Touch Controller Found! and when I try to build the tkusb.ko (assuming that's even the problem) I get this error:
    make -C /lib/modules/2.6.34-rc6/build SUBDIRS=/usr/local/eGalaxTouch32/USBSrc modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.34-rc6/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
    make: *** [all] Error 2

Looks likes its pissed about the same thing airdriver-ng kernel is mad about listed in item 1)

Default Re: BackTrack 4 R1 Development release

RT2860 comes up using the rt2860sta driver. It is my understanding that as of 2.6.33 the rt2800pci driver is included with the kernel (and there are files referencing rt2800pci in /usr/src/....). Not sure why the decision was made to use the staging driver. Is there a way to activate the rt2800pci driver instead?

    Thanks!

    Thinkpad x301

When install new kernel with BT4 installed, wifi card didn't detect

    With BT4-RC1 LiveDVD:

    Wifi: Intel 5100
    Monitor mode works
    Injection works
    FakeAuth - some problems
    master mode - not probed
sometimes wifi card is in monitor mode but doesnt detect anything, you need:
    ifconfig wlan0 down
    airodump mon0
    Code:
    root@bt:~# aireplay-ng -9 mon0
For information, no action required: Using gettimeofday() instead of /dev/rtc
