xplico,error in synaptic package manager

when i open synaptic package manager in bt4 , show this message : E: The package xplico needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.
E: Internal error opening cache (1). Please report.

i try :

root@bt:~# dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq xplico

Don't know if you suceed to fix your issue, I put anyway here what you shoud do if you still have it :

Login root / sudo

# touch /etc/init.d/xplico.rltm.console
# touch /sbin/xplico
# touch /etc/init.d/xplico
# dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq xplico

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

... and you're good.

Since this thread was resurrected I will through my thanks in as well. Had this same problem last week and the above solution fixed the problem.
