Backtrack 4 / Windows 7 Dual boot black screen

Howdy all,
I've done some searching but haven't found a solution yet. I installed backtrack 4 from the disc as described, but when I try and load Windows 7 from the boot loader, the screen goes black. I'm thinking the issue lies in the bootloader somewhere, and isn't a big problem, or at least I'm hoping... I'm on a Sony Vaio laptop FYI, I think I've had this problem before but can't remember how I resolved it. My only real concern is having to restore the HDD...

If you don't care about your BT4 data and Grub then use your Win 7 install disc (repair disc, or recovery disc) and find in the repair mode the console and type Bootrec.exe /FixMbr
This will delete Grub as a bootloader but will keep your BT4 (but you can't access it until you reinstall GRUB using grub-install hd(x,x) in a live-cd or smth..

After repeatedly rebooting from the black screen, occasionally it would attempt to recover on it's own (say 6 or 7 reboots) but I found that if I hit the windows key shortly after the black screen appears to stick, windows will popup... Kinda weird...
