all i want to become is a serious ethical hacker... i don't want to use the darknet... i dont download cracks/software etc... i'm a strong believer of FOSS and an ardent fan of Linux especially Ubuntu... and i've been so since 2004... all i want to become is a Security consultant/ pen tester... strictly legit... a white-hat...

please forgive me if i had misled you with my fumbled words...

i'd love to know if i could apply my math abilities during pen tests... if yes, how?... can i use BT3/BT4 to test my algorithms... ca i use my custom h/w to help myself during pen tests... thats all....

To begin with it seems as if your treating it as a bit of a joke. As serious as you may be, first impressions are important. My advice is: Start reading, and don't stop. If your really serious, then knowledge is power, The more you know, the better equipped you are. Find something that interests you, and pursue it.
