Any boot disc will have some password reset tools on it. Just boot to the disc, run the tool and change the password
I am currently locked out of my desktop computer running Win Xp. I've got a netbook running off my wireless internet. This may or may not have anything to do with BT but I'm trying to figure out if there is any possible way I can crack my Windows Login Accounts password so I can regain access. I prefer to do it from my netbook. I know there are ways to do it because I've heard of an exploit called metasploit allowing this but it was recently patched so it no longer works. Is there any other method I can use to do this? Thanks.

Backtrack has a built in tool, i can't remember the name though.
It was something like: pswcnt It'll be in there.
Oph crack, Kon-boot and Offline NT Password & Registry Editor are some I remember of the top of my head, and if all else fails grab an external HDD and you favorite Linux distro and copy everything from windows on the external, then reformat.

Boot backtrack 4 and use chntpw
You can download the password cracking guide at http://www.backtrack-linux.org/forum...e.html#post160
which covers how to use chntpw. Basically use chntpw to blank the administrator password. Don't try to set the administrator password using chntpw as it sometimes doesn't work. Just blank it and set a password inside windows.
I like the bleeding edge, but I don't like blood loss
