BT4 final : mounting aufs on union failed

Hello,

I've customized my backtrack 4 installing some additional tools I needed, and wanted to create a live persistant USB disk using linux live scripts. I've already done this with beta version and it worked fine. But with the final release i'm stuck during the boot with this error :
* setup union directory (using aufs)
mount: mounting aufs on union failed: No such device
aufs : unknown symbol exportfs_encode_fh
FATAL error occured - can't setup union (aufs)
* Something went wrong and we can't continue. This should never happen.

I googled the error, and it seems to be recurrent but i couldn't find any solution!


Any tip that could help me??

Avoid infractions and post in the correct section.
Check this faq http://www.backtrack-linux.org/forum...track-iso.html for more info on customizing the iso.
The guide should help you. If you find (after following it) that you still have problems please post in this thread all relevant info.

Hey m0unir,
i looked at the tutorial but did not help with the problem. I used the linux live scripts aswell a i get the exact same error as you when i try to do live CD.

Did you find the solution to the problem? I have looked on the internet but i have not found any solution that worked.

the boot i am using is

/boot/vmlinuz vga=769 initrd.gz ramdisk_size=6666 root=/dev/ram0 rw

tried different boot comands but nothig has worked.

did you added aufs patches from http://aufs.sf.net to the kernel?
