Default GUI text very small – How to resize?

Sorry for asking such a stupid questing that most likely has a very simple answer. But how do I resize the text in the GUI?

All the desk top icons and text in the internet browser are the correct height it’s just the text for all menus, icon text and menu text are only 2 pixels high. I can’t read anything so a few screen shots letting me know ware to click would be very helpful.

Try changing the screen resolution before starting the x server.
    Here is a good guide.
