get the password from a connected laptop

I have a laptop that is connected to a wireless network, it runs xp.
And i would like to have the password of this network.
So i had a look at the properties of this network, and i could see the box with the password in it.
But obviously this password is coverd by '*'
So my question is, is there a possibility to get the password?
I thought this would be a lot easier then getting the password through a laptop + backtrack cd.

Well since it's your network you should know the password. If you forgot it then just reset the access point. If it is not your network but you are allowed to access and use it then ask the administrator for the password.
Otherwise you are trying to do something we do not condone.
